What inspired you to create Everyday Beautiful Shampoo?
I wanted to create a clarifying shampoo that used the power of pure Citrus essentials oils to deeply refresh the hair and scalp. Everyday Beautiful Shampoo has a beautiful, aromatic botanical base that both protects moisture and enhances color. The sulfate-free formula combats the everyday accumulation of pollution and residue that naturally builds up on the hair, yet is gentle enough for everyday use. It's a wonderful alternative to my Peppermint Avocado Shampoo. It's the yin to my yang!
Everyday Beautiful Shampoo makes the most of Mother Nature's greatest gifts to make everyday beautiful! I included aromatic Bergamot, Neroli, Lemon Peel, Tangerine, Bitter Orange and a hint of Eucalyptus and Juniper to cleanse, refresh and clarify. Scalp toning astringents including Lavender, Rosemary and Witch Hazel work together with nourishing Vitamin E, Sunflower and Safflower Oils to strike a delicate balance between cleansing, moisture retention and color enhancement. Rose Geranium, Lemongrass and Chamomile extracts calm the scalp while romancing the senses.
Hard water heavy with minerals and a barrage of products cause build up on our hair and scalp, even when we shampoo daily. Natural environmental factors ranging from sun and chemical pollutants to oil-resins and micro plastics from styling products also contribute to the appearance of dull, weighed down and dehydrated hair. Everyday Beautiful Shampoo serves as a deep cleansing treatment and therapeutic shampoo that gently breaks down and removes any kind of residue including dehydrating environmental factors.
I look at each ingredient individually and bring together botanicals in families. My process is informed by research about how ingredients co-mingle and what they're capable of delivering from a healing, scientific and aromatherapeutic point of view. Whether it's clarifying or conditioning, moisturizing, color enhancing or rejuvenating, each and every natural element lends its own strength to my formulas. I always work to marry elements that create harmony in the composition of the formula. I know when I am in the process of formulation and creation, when it seduces my senses, I have achieved perfection. I always say, ‘There's no such thing as a miracle molecule, but you can combine molecules to create miracles.'
