Oud/agarwood essential oil is derived from several species of Agarwood trees, which comes from various parts of the world. When the trees become infected with a disease, the trees respond by producing a dark and aromatic resin, known as oleoresin that saturates the wood. This resin is where agarwood essential oil is derived from. It is believed to be the most favourite fragrance of the Hindu God, Lord Krishna and the Buddha even preached the fragrance of burning agarwood to be akin to the “scent of Nirvana”. Oud agarwood essential oil can help to repair damaged hair and/or scalp's cells and fight off damage caused by anti-aging free radicals. Oud is beneficial to the health of the scalp and can also help clean the hair that inevitably gets full of pollutant and irritants from the modern world.
